A big thanks to Eddie and Lisa for tagging along for one of our first food pickups from Second Harvest Food Bank. We are very excited about this new partnership, which provides us with incredibly discounted food and pantry items, as well as free, fresh and frozen goodies for our members.
With this partnership, we are able to provide well-balanced meals for our members and ensure no member goes hungry, while also reducing food waste and food insecurity within our community. With this additional support from the foodbank, we are able to supply our GED and LiftUp Program with more food to feed their students, stock our fridge and pantry shelves, and even support snacks and beverages for our very hard working volunteers!
Thank you Second Harvest Food Bank for your support!
Food Services we provide to our members:
- Breakfast & Lunch for our GED Students, Monday-Thursday, 24 weeks out of the year.
- Dinner to for our LiftUp Students, every Thursday evening, 30 weeks out of the year.
- Meals for our Drop-In members and those with Appointments Monday-Thursday every week of the year.
- Every member may access the food pantry once per week and take an allotment of items from the shelves and fridge!
