The joyous echoes of laughter, the warmth of shared moments, and the spirit of giving enveloped our recent holiday party, transforming it into a truly unforgettable event. As we gathered together, it felt like one big family reunion, reuniting with familiar faces and creating new memories that will linger in our hearts.
The highlight of the evening was watching our members immerse themselves in the joy of selecting presents, not just for themselves but also for their children. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Church for the Beach for infusing the celebration with their infectious joy, and, of course, for the delightful hot cocoa and cookies that added an extra touch of warmth to the festivities.
Our gratitude extends to the dedicated volunteers who took the time to join us, with a special shoutout to Eddie, whose thoughtful gift – our very own office toolbox – had us all in stitches. No more running to the store for impromptu projects – Eddie, you've truly made our work a whole lot more convenient! And a very warm thank you to one of our board members, and biggest volunteer supporters, Lisa- for gifting the entire staff with WAYS for Life t-shirts.
A heartwarming surprise came from our members, who showered us with tokens of appreciation. One member, with both artistic flair and poetic talent, handcrafted a beautiful drawing with a quote that reads, "Blessed are the advocates that see divides in their communities and grow gardens between them." Another member gifted us a precious WAYS for Life logo engraved in a heart – a symbol of the love that binds our community together. Lastly, another member made homemade bread for each staff member, their first try baking!
We are deeply touched by everyone's generosity and thoughtful gifts. To our incredible donors and volunteers who worked tirelessly to collect and assemble stocking gifts, your dedication has not gone unnoticed. The outpouring of love and support is a testament to the strength of our community. Thanks to everyones support we were able to provide gifts to 53 of our members, and 2 or more gifts to 32 of their dependent children.
As the holiday season unfolds, we carry the warmth and love from this celebration with us. To each and every one of you who contributed, volunteered, or simply shared in the joy, we extend our heartfelt thanks.
